LCS Choir Fest
Choir Fest 2024
Each spring LCS holds a choir festival for private Christian schools. All students have an opportunity to perform, improve their vocal ability, and sing with new friends. All attending schools have an opportunity to perform several songs individually and participate in a mass choir. Each choir fest is led by an educated, experienced conductor. The goal of LCS choir fest is to provide glory to God through music teaching and music performance. See this year’s list of songs and practice material below.
LCS Choir Fest 2024 Overview

● Date: Friday – Sunday, April 26-28
● Location: LCS Campus (2772 Simons Drive NW, Sugarcreek, OH)
● Registration Deadline: February 2, 2024 (REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED DUE TO MAX CAPACITY)
● Cost: $30/student early bird registration | $35/student after February 2
● Lodging: Lodging is not provided for this event. Each school is responsible to find their own lodging. Please reach out for lodging suggestions
Mass Choir Conductor: Wendell Glick
Wendell Glick is a composer, choir director, and music educator, with a particular interest in contemporary hymnody and choral music. In addition to music composition and itinerant teaching work, he finds employment in music arranging, editing, proofreading, consulting, and private instruction in theory and composition, and holds music composition degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University (BMus, 2008), the University of Toronto (MMus, 2010) and Western University (PhD, 2016). Wendell enjoys model trains, tube slides, aviation, Lego bricks, rainy days, puzzles, and life with his beautiful wife Janelle and their four lively children in Meadville, PA.
Registration Instructions
Please download the registration form. The teacher/chaperone should fill out the correct information in both the student and chaperone tabs of the form and email the completed form to choir.fest@legacychristian.school. A total cost will display at the top of the student registration form. This total can be paid via check or cash at the beginning of the Choir Fest event. Due to limited space, application does not equal the ability to attend. Choirs are accepted on a first come, first served and prior participation basis.

Payment for Sheet Music
The sheet music for In Meeting We Are Blessed, Our Father in Heaven, and Thixo Onothando can all be purchased directly from the publisher. However, the sheet music for To God Be Glory and I Love the Mountains is to be purchased from Wendell Glick directly.
To purchase the music for the last two songs, please download PDFs from the links above. Next, contact wendell@wendellglick.com with the number of copies you plan to make, and he will send an invoice that can be paid by check, credit card, or Paypal (the price for each song is $1.50 per copy/student).
School leaders and music teachers, please feel free to “double dip” the Choir Fest music. Using Choir Fest music for your spring program is a great way to lessen the new music to be learned in the spring.
